All UK travel rules to end on Friday, says government

Currently, anyone traveling to the United Kingdom must fill out a passenger locator form before arriving.

Travelers who have not been fully vaccinated must take a Covid test before leaving, fill out a form, then book and pay for a PCR test once they arrive.

In a tweet, Grant Shapps stated that the rules will be lifted at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Passengers who are not completely vaccinated would no longer be required to take Covid tests before and after traveling to the UK, thanks to his statement.

There will also be no need for the passenger locator form.

People considering an international journey should be aware of the admission requirements of other nations.

"These adjustments are feasible owing to our vaccine rollout and enable increased freedom in time for Easter," Mr. Shapps tweeted.

In the event that additional Covid strains emerge in the future, the government has stated that it will take "the least-stringent measures" to limit travel.

New border controls would only be considered in "exceptional circumstances," according to its "Living with Covid" plan.

The UKHSA said it will keep a close eye on the incidence and dissemination of Covid variations.
